Jawad s/o Ghafoor Qureshi was traveling in his car on westbound on the A406 Bowes Road, part of the North Circular in London along with his uncle Haider s/o Akhtar Qureshi and a friend.
Three people have died after the car they were traveling in crashed into a lorry and burst into flames following a “high-speed race” on London’s North Circular.
Police are investigating claims that the high-powered Subaru Impreza was racing a number of other cars in north London in the early hours when the driver lost control and it hit the central reservation.
The car careered into the opposite carriageway and collided with with a Warburtons’ bread lorry travelling in the opposite direction.
Jawad Qureshi along with Uncle and Friend died as the car burst into flames. All of the them were in their early twenties.
One witness suggested the Impreza car was fitted with a nitrous oxide kit to make it go faster, in the style of cars in the Fast & Furious films series.
According to eye witness 3 men were racing with other cars. Two men in a second car, which was also involved in the crash were injured and later arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.
The driver of the Astra, which remained on the other carriageway is understood to have walked out of the vehicle largely unscathed and sat on the side of the road in shock.
A witness said “The three over there we had to watch them burn, it was horrible”.
Jawad Qureshi is Nephew of Ex-Councillor Farooq Qureshi (Owner of Qurehsi General Store). People gathered at his residence in Bandral Town of Mirpur to condole him and family over death of 3 young boys in UK.
