Youm-e-Shuhada (Day of Martyrs) in recognition to valiant soldiers who laid their lives defending the motherland was observed in Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir.
A number of functions to observe the day are being organized in Mirpur District. Prayers and tributes paid to Martyrs of Army, Main event was organized in Eid Gaah Sector F-1. Tribute was paid to Col. Muhammad Imran Arshad Jaral Shaheed. Guard of Honour by Police and by Students of Higher Secondary School F-1 Mipur was paid to Muhammad Imran Arshad Jaral Shaheed.
National Anthem of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were played. Deputy Commissioner Ch Muhammad Tariq and SSP Irfan, ASP Ch Munshi, Head Master of High School F-1, School Teachers and Students were present at this moment.
Prayers were offered in Boys High school F-1 and in Ghazi Elahi Baksh Girls College.
